Teapot and container, earthenware, cylindrical teapot with a flattened circular shoulder that is wider than the body and with a narrow vertical cylindrical neck with a rim that juts out slightly, two thirds of the spout is moulded onto the side of the body and curves slightly off the body, octagonal outer container with a flattened top that is shaped and cut to hold the teapot, both pieces have two pierced vertical semi circles moulded onto either side through which would be threaded the handle, flat base, missing cover; the container is stamped with chinese motifs against a ground of incised squares, unglazed and not enamelled.
