Gold fede or fidelity ring with misshapen hoop, which is of flattened D cross-section. The outer face is decorated with a floral pattern. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text: Let virtue be thy guide, in vertical italic script. There appears to be a touch mark (indistinct) after the inscription.
