Vase, earthenware, standing on baluster foot with spreading foot-rim and five raised bands around the pedestal, the foot standing on a square plinth, attached underneath by a metal bolt, the body bell-shaped with a flaring everted collar and an incurved open-work crest on top, the interior bottom of the body curving upwards in a ball shape; tranfer-printed in blue with vignettes of shells and flowers, three groups of shells, flowers, leaves and scrolling foliage to the main body, border to the collar of small sprays of flowers and foliage on a blue band with white markings, border to the foot, the top of the pedestal, the base of the crest and the top of the crest of a blue band with white markings with a wavy line below issuing small heart shapes, the plinth painted black.
