Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Mesolithic flint failed blade core. The pebble has been struck several times from a prepared platform but has failed to generate any blades of suitable length, all attempts have hit a thick layer of cortex and have ended abruptly. It appears to have broken on a subsequent attempt and abandoned. It may also have been heat-treated before use.
