Blue 'CRS' overall coat. Co-operative Retail Services (CRS) was originally CWS Retail.

overall coat made from synthetic fabric: white with woven pattern of light and dark blue check. The weave is a complex construction. Collar is plain blue and is a fine knit. 5 Pearlescent plastic buttons down centre front; additional spare button stitched to inside centre front, near hem. One button-closure at cuffs (same button as front); sleeves are gathered into narrow cuffs (W= 4.3cm) with three pleats. Blue label (same fabric as collar) on left chest, machine embroidered with letters: 'CRS'. Breast darts. Hip pocket in proper right side seam, as well as narrow patch pocket (presumably for a pen?). Above the pockets is a triangular tab which has a machine-stitched button hole in it. Rectangular pieces of fabric (16.5 x 4.3cm, cut on the bias) are applied to either side of the front waist, perhaps to suggest a belt. The rear panel is gathered into a yoke at shoulder height. Hanging loop and label at inner neck. Care label at inner proper right side seam. Oval paper care label attached to hanging loop at inner neck. All machine stitched.
