Tea bowl, earthenware, standing on a straight-sided foot-rim, rounded curving sides; transfer-printed in black with to the exterior sides of the bowl a version of the 'Two temples' pattern, two Chinese-style scenes, the larger one showing two figures crossing over a bridge towards a collection of pagodas with rocks, trees and fences, the smaller one showing pagodas on islands in an expanse of water with small Chinese junks, to the interior bottom of the bowl a small design of a pagoda on a rocky outcrop, border to the interior lip-rim of moths, foliate scrolls, Greek key shapes and lattice-work patterned panels. Saucer, earthenware, circular shape with straight-sided foot-rim and rounded curving sides; transfer-printed in black with to the centre of the well a version of the 'Two temples' pattern, a Chinese-style scene showing two figures crossing over a bridge towards a collection of pagodas with trees, rocks and a fence in the foreground, in the background further pagodas on islands across an expanse of water with small Chinese junks, border to the interior lip-rim as on the tea bowl.
