One (right) of a pair of clogs made by Thomas James, clogmaker, Ysgeifiog, near Carnhedryn, Pembrokeshire. The sole is made of sycamore with clog and heel irons nailed beneath. Welt and welt nails fasten the high leather upper to the sole. Nailed to the front of the clog boot is a toe plate to provide greater protection.
