Early Bronze Age pottery collared urn
Good ware with buff surface transitional to cordoned type, the shoulder being marked by a definite rib and the base of the collar is similarly marked, while the rim has a deep internal bevel. Decoration (corded throughout): on bevel of rim: three horizontal lines; on collar: panels of herring-bone, divided by narrower panels of vertical lines, with double enclosing line above and below. This large urn was placed over a small urn containing the cremated bones of a child aged 7-11 years. 1700-1500 BCE.
