Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A fragment of Roman ceramic tile with Procuratorial stamp. The fragment of tegula or brick has the impression of a legionary stamp within an ansate frame, Ligatured AV inclined to the right, united at the foot with the numeral. The fabric of the tile is red/orange in colour and mixed with occasional inclusions with small patches of mortar adhering to the stamped face.
