Dish
Dish, earthenware, in the form of a shell with a roughly square straight-sided foot-rim and curving spreading sides divided into four lobes, raised ridges run from the centre of the well up to the indents between the lobes, a gadrooned edge to the rim, the rim of one of the lobes moulded with a scale-like pattern; transfer-printed in blue with to the interior of the dish four groups of shells, flowers and leaves, the underside of one of the lobes chipped, the foot-rim chipped.
