Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top, the flange and underside of the lid partially obscured by the frame; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'I See You My Boy', showing a rural landscape with the figure of a crouching young boy trying to steal something from a sleeping male figure while being watched from behind a tree stump by a female figure, around the bottom of the scene is the inscription "I SEE YOU MY BOY", to the lower left-hand side of the scene is the inscription "JA Sc", the print enclosed by a border which cannot fully be made out as it is obscured by the frame. The glaze crazed, the flange chipped. The pot-lid mounted for display in a close-fitting circular wooden frame painted black.
