Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A near complete inhumation of an young adult male aged 17-25 years (extended, supine) in a plain grave oriented west-east. Burning was noted on the hands and feet and the skeleton is crushed. An intrusion is represented by duplicated elements.
Elements present: Skull, ossicle/stapes, mandible, maxilla, loose teeth (pathology: dead/brown tooth, worn, abscesses), vertebrae, L and R clavicle, sternum (manubrium), L and R scapula, ribs, L and R humerus, L and R radius, L and R ulna, pelvis, L and R femur, L and R patella, L tibia, L and R fibula, metacarpals/metatarsals, carpals/tarsals, phalanges, miscellaneous unidentified fragments.
Intrusion: Extra radius, calcaneus
Animal bone and a quartz burial pebble (found below feet) were found in the grave.
