Bureau

A bureau with hinged writing flap and six drawers below. Two small square drawers pull out to support flap. Of the remaining four drawers, two are half legth. Inside the bureau has a central square door inlaid with tulips enclosing five concave drawers. To each side are narrow drawers and a long drawer is above. The sides have nests of three concave and three straight drawers beneath arcaded pigeon-holes. The inner surface of the bureau has a square sliding panel inlaid in a rayed star pattern, beneath are concealed compartments. The inside of flap is covered in green baize. The exterior is largely covered with yew veneer with stringing in bog oak and box. The ends are largely oak. The interior is of oak inlaid as before. The bureau stands on four bun feet.
