Cream tureen, cover and stand, soft-paste porcelain, clear white translucency, lustrous glaze with a slight green tinge where collected at the mouldings, shrinking back inside the foot. Tureen, round, on a turned pedestal foot, sides swelling to the shoulders, and curving in to form a shallow neck; two up-turned spindle handles with floret ornaments and mask terminals; shallow bell-topped cover with pineapple finial; decorated with with a gilt line to the foot and at the base of the stem, the sides painted with six pink roses amid green leaves, bedded on gilt moss, a further six, smaller, on the shoulders and four on the cover, golt lies to the shoulders, lip and cover, the handles and finial partly gilded. The stand with a recessed centre edged with acanthus leaves, gilt rim line, and the acanthus leaves edged with gilding, painted with five roses to the rim.
