Dwight, John (born c1636-)

Bottle, salt-glazed stoneware in light brown/buff coloured clay, flat foot, uneven bellied form, small high handle joined at shoulder and at rim, high and narrow neck, plain incised moulding around rim, slip-coated rough exterior, deep brown colour mottled red brown under handle and lighter towards rim, part glazed especially around handle and rim, buff interior; front of neck and shoulder decorated with a rectangular relief stamp of a Bacchic figure, front of body with a circular medallion with a dentil border and containing a fleur de lis under a crown with C and R on either side. Cracked handle.
