Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Photograph of the rear of Waun-lwyd house, Llanddulas, Epynt, Breconshire. Taken by Iorwerth Peate in June 1940.
The Epynt was selected by the War Office at the begining of World War Two as an artillery practice area, and 219 people were given notice and had to move from their homes and farms. Iorwerth Peate as part of the staff of National Museum Wales was tasked with documenting and photographing some of these dwellings.
