Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A cutting from the Welsh language newspaper, ‘Y Cymro’. The cutting is of a photograph, taken by Mr Robin Griffith, entitled ‘Awr ginio yn y chwarel’. The photographs shows 19 quarrymen enjoying some light entertainment in a Caban during their lunch break. One quarryman is playing a saxophone, whilst another is playing a guitar. The photograph was take in one of the quarries in Merionethshire during the mid 20th century.
