Frog Lane Colliery - Miners at Snap. A group of miners sit down for their mid-shift break, eating from their tin food boxes. The mine is a naked light pit, as shown by the peg and ball oil lamps worn by the men. They all wear the traditional miners hobnailed boots. Their caps are often the crowns of bowlers with the rims cut away.
