Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with Walschaert's valve gear draincocks, mechanical lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, injector, whistle, hand feed pump, steam operated brake gear, tank filters, oil boxes and pipes, standing boxes, opening cab windows, riveting, steps, hand and lamp irons, finished in black with red and white lining. Black locomotive with grey and red stripe livery and '823' on red background on brass oblong plaque both sides. Raised brass oval plaque both sides of loco. reads 'BEYER PEACOCK & C L / 1902 / MANCHESTER. Red bumpers at both ends.
