S.S. THRAKI (7460gt). Built 1941 by J.L. Thompson, Sunderland, as EMPIRE CRANMER for the Ministry of War Transport (managed by Mungo, Campbell & Co. Ltd.). 1942 - Assigned to the Greek Government and renamed THRAKI (managed by S.G. Embiricos). 1947 - Sold to Livanos Maritime Co. Ltd., and renamed ARIETTA. On 17 March 1960, she ran aground at Novorossiysk, Soviet Union. Although refloated on 1 April, she was declared a constructive total loss.
