Wooden haft fragment from socket of faceted axe.
Site Name: Treuddyn, Flintshire
Notes: National Grid Reference to be treated as confidential. Found while metal detecting on a field under pasture on 28/11/11. The artefacts were found in a peaty, boggy area, at an approximate depth of 15cm. The tin hook or handle was found around 18cm distant from the axe in the same detector pit, and at a level slightly shallower than the axe.
