Insulator
A pair of overhead line insulators mounted on a single metal bracket. The insulators and bracket were fixed onto a wooden pole outside the Rotary Converter House, Floor 5, Llechwedd. This pole carried the overhead DC power cables from the Rotary House linking it to the rest of the DC system. The insulators insulated the connections (and metal bracket) between the copper cored armoured cable (that came from the back of the main DC control panel) and the aluminium overhead line cable.
