A “Design 1013” cargo ship built 1919 as WEST SAGINAW by Northwest Steel Co., Portland, Oregon (steam turbine engines by MidWest Engineering Co., Indianapolis), for the US Shipping Board. 1936 – Transferred to the US Maritime Commission. 1941 – Transferred to MoWT and renamed EMPIRE COUGAR. , managed by G.Heyn & Son, Belfast. 1946 – Sold to Aurora Shipping Co Ltd., London, and renamed AURORA, managed by Goulandris Brothers, London. 1948 – Sold to Compagnia Maritima del Este, Panama and renamed COUGAR. 1951 – Sold to Trama Trasporti Marittimi SpA, Italy and renamed FAVOLA. She was broken up by Compagnia Armatoriale Italiana at La Spezia in 1960. (REF : - wikipedia)
