Plaque

Delft (Factory)

Rectangular plaque slightly warped and with integral bolection frame pierced with pair of suspension holes on one long side and one short side, painted in blue with a robed female figure on a threshold, clasping the hand of an other, visibly pregnant, bearded man to left, building behind, another male figure and landscape behind to right, manganese ground to frame. Reference is presumably Luke I 40 `She (Mary) went into Zachariah's house and greeted Elizabeth'.
