Haeamorrhoid ligator set in blue and white box with sticker on the top with 'Down's Surgical Orlay Haemorrhoid Ligator' printed on it.
Ligator consists of stainless steel clamp and push rod with a barrel piece on the end for the loading mandrel to be fitted. There are 4 in the box which are sharp ended cone shaped metal fittings used for stretching the small black latex rings which are then placed on the base of the haemorrhoid. There's also a spare needle enclosed in a plastic tube in a sealed plastic bag along with two small sealed plastic bags with approx 300 tiny black latex rings in each.
