Under a church-like canopy, the Blessedm Virgin with truncated staff, crowned and seated, supporting her Child: He holding a book and giving a blessing. In field, in a recess to either side, the bust of a tonsured monk. Field diapered lozengy with pierced quatrefoils. Borders beaded.
On the rim of the matrix, but not on this impression is the rhyming inscription :
AVGUSTINE . PATER . QVOS . INSTRVIS . IN . MERITONA . / HIS . CHRISTI . MATER . TVTRIX . EST . ATQVE . PATRONA
