Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
No similar objects are known from Iron Age contexts although similar implements were used for food preparation during the 17th and 18th centuries. Similar implements were also used forbeating flax during the Viking period and the Breiddin object shows a similar degree of wear.
