Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
WOOLLEN CANVAS, embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. Divided horizontally into four compartments. In the first compartment, flanked by conventional flowering plants, is a verse. The second compartment contains flowering plants, birds and lions, symmetrically arranged. In the third, flanked by conventional plants is another verse. The fourth compartment contains conventional flowering plants and birds and the maker’s name, age and date. There is a border of a floral wavy stem between narrow stripes.
