Late Iron Age copper alloy collar

Bracelet 3 and human bone fragments 4 and 5 were found in situ, during archaeological investigation of the findspot. Bracelet 3 and human bone 4 were found together about 30cm south west of the first bracelet. Human bone fragments 5 were found in the base of the detector pit containing bracelt fragment 2. The collar was found within disturbed ploughsoil, 50-70 cm north east of fragmentary bracelet no.2. No grave cut survived suggesting most of the burial had been disturbed, scattered and eroded, possibly by ploughing in the recent past.

This collar was decorated with bronze plates and red and blue enamel insets.
