Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Oak chair presented at the Blaina Eisteddfod held on 22 January, 1938. The chair was made by the Brynmawr Furniture Company, a Quaker company who had set-up in Brynmawr as a way of creating jobs in one of the poorest towns in Wales during the 1930s. This simple design was distinctive of Brynmawr Furniture.
Wooden chair with cord seat. Chair stained light. There is a small metal plaque on the back rest. Height 38". Max. width 26". Depth 17½".
