Cup, bone china, standing on a rounded spreading waisted foot-rim, cylindrical sides flaring slightly to the mouth, to either side of the body twin vertical angular handles, round domed cover, to the centre of the cover a mushroom-shaped finial ; painted in gilt with around the exterior sides of the cup an elaborate border pattern, enclosed between two gilt bands, of long pendant leaves, half in-filled with gilt and half left in outline, alternating with anthemions enclosed by gilt arches terminating at the bottom in Greek key-shapes, the same pattern repeated around the top of the cover, further gilt bands around the foot-rim and the lower body of the cup, the handles and the top of the finial painted in gilt. Saucer, hybrid-paste porcelain, circular shape with rounded tapering foot-rim, curving sides and spreading rim; painted in gilt with to the sides of the well and the rim the same border pattern as on the cup.
