Ore carrier built 1958 by Blythswood Shipbuilding Co., Scotstoun (with 4-cylinder 2SCSA Doxford oil engine built by David Rowan & Co Ltd., Glasgow), for Furness Withy & Co Ltd., London. 1973 – Owners restyled Pacific Maritime Services Ltd., London. 1975 – Sold to Attlich Co Inc., Panama, and renamed WELCOME, managed by Gino Gardella, Genoa. 1976 – Sold to Cala Pira SpA di Navigazione, Cagliari, Italy, and renamed DUGLASIA.
