Teapot, cane-coloured smear-glazed stoneware, oval form with slightly rounded foot-rim, curving sides, sharp shoulder and raised lip-rim, curving reeded spout with foliate moulding around the base, ribbed loop handle with moulded foliage at the shoulder and lower terminal, applied acanthus leaves around the lower body and shoulder, with applied pastoral scenes to the central body and an applied band of interlocking circles containing flower heads around the upper body, oval domed cover with to the top a square handle with foliate moulding, sharp stiff leaves radiate out from the top of the cover down the sides; the teapot and cover edged with blue, red and green enamel. The body of the teapot broken and repaired.
