Tureen, soft-paste porcelain, circular shape, standing on a straight-sided foot-rim, the sides bulbous and flaring and slightly ogee in form, to either side of the tureen twin moulded foliate double branch handles decorated with tiny florettes moulded and applied in relief and issuing moulded foliage spreading onto the body from the terminals, round domed cover with flat collar-like rim, to the top of the cover an elaborate moulded finial comprising a large rose, leaves, stems and buds; delicately painted in underglaze blue with to the exterior sides of the tureen two different scenes showing a pair of exotic birds in a landscape, a small flying bird to the interior bottom of the tureen, around the cover alternating large and small flying birds.
