Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
This brooch is a variant within the Polden Hill with Dolphin Profile series. The bow has a sharp ridge running down the centre with a row of crenellations. The line of the semi-circular mouldings to either side of the head is continued down each side of the bow as a bordering flange. The bow terminates in a pronounced transverse moulding above a conical foot with transverse mouldings at its lower edge and a projecting knob below. The extant side wing is plain save for a ridged margin. The catchplate is lost but its line is continued as a rib the full length of the back of the bow. The spring has an iron axis bar. Late 1st-2nd century A.D.
