Teapot and cover, soft-paste 'duck-egg' porcelain, greenish translucency and a green tinge to the glaze; rectangular 'London' shape with rounded corners, pronounced mould lines, upcurving spout with moulded ornament at the top, and c-scroll handle with foliate moulded thumbpiece; rectangular domed cover with a flattened top and grooved pyramid finial; pierced with sixteen pouring holes arranged in an inverted triangle. Decorated with a gilt line at the foot, the lower part of the sides plain below a running border of gilt scrolls and pink enamel dots, band above strewn with gilt dot flower heads on red thread stems with two green leaves, another running border of pink and gilt dots above, deckelled gilt line at the shoulders, below a band of gilt foliage, further gilt foliage on the spout and handle. The cover decorated similarly, but with the borders reversed and with the green leaves missing from the stylised flowers, a pink rose in the centre around the base of the gilt finial.
