A tinned split-bow brooch with a 'P'-shaped profile. Had a sprung pin which is now missing. The head of the brooch comprises a horizontal band, facetted but otherwise plain with, above it, a small head plate with an undulating outline. The upper bow is divided into three plain bars which converge slightly to a plain waist moulding; the bars are facetted on the front only and each has a ridge running down its centre. The leg is set back from the waist. It is narrower than the waist, but widens out somewhat above the toe. It is ridged lengthwise. The catchplate is drawn out from behind the waist, but does not extend down the full length of the leg.
