Roman copper alloy steelyard
Roughly oval-sectioned rod flattened out at one end where there are two suspension hooks and a ring for the suspension of a scale pan. The rod is marked with two scales; one has four major divisions, each subdivided into twelfths, the other has at least eight divisions.
