Wedding dress
Wedding dress of nylon georgette. Worn by Miss Diane Grubb at her wedding to Mr C. R. Williams at the Baptist Church, Church Village, on 8 February 1969. She wore a veil and carried an ivory prayer book with an orchid on it. Purchased at Collins Ltd, Albany Rd, Cardiff.
The dress is trimmed with machine made lace and crystal beads, and has a high round neck. Three-quarter sleeves. High waist marked by a horizontal band of lace and another band sewn down the front to the hem. Cuffs are edged with lace and crystals. Train falls from the high waist at back over a rayon silk underskirt and frilled muslin underskirt.
