Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Oral history recording with Neda Renzi. Recorded as part of the Italian Memories in Wales project (2008-10), delivered by ACLI-ENAIP and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Part 4 of 7 (AV 11462-11468)
00.00 Neda talks about the fascist colonie: holiday camps for children during the fascist regime. Children were sent to the sea, Rimini for example, to improve their health. Those who could afford it would pay for the trip, whereas others would have costs paid by the government. It was a very positive thing, particularly for poorer children.
