Early Medieval human remains
These are remains from the Inhumation Burial of an Adult. All that remains are very poorly preserved fragments from the individual's cranium. Other parts of bone were seen within the grave but were too degraded and didn't survive the lifting process.
They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented West-East The burial is from Phase E: 635-841 AD
Fragments from an iron buckle (2025.7H/2.47, sf 19-039) were recovered from this burial.
