Wedding dress worn by Frances M. Lloyd of Gilfachwen, Llandysul, on her marriage to M. L. W. Lloyd Price of Castell Pigyn and Bryn Cothi, about 1878. Cream silk brocade and white satin. Long princess line bodice falling into a train. Satin frilled edges to train. According to the original accession documents, the dress was made by Jane Dovey. However, information obtained in 1991 suggests that the dress was made by Miss Mary Ann Dovey (born 1 January 1846; died 2 September 1913). She was a dressmaker who lived at Clovelly, Bridge St, Lampeter.
