Jug, earthenware, standing on a spreading straight-sided slightly waisted foot-rim, the body with flaring sides sloping sharply inwards at the shoulder to a cylindrical slightly concave neck, bands of beading around the lower body and the shoulder, beak spout with moulded underside, high loop handle with raised thumb-spur and several other raised outer spurs; a broad band of an orange ground around the exterior body, this sprigged with two groups of birds, flowers and foliage which have been overpainted in blue enamel, the orange ground further decorated with scrolling lines in copper lustre, the foot-rim, lower body, shoulder, interior and exterior neck, spout and handle covered with copper lustre.
