Sister Dorothy Croxford of the Cardiff Docks Medical Centre. She had been a nursing sister with the National Dock Labour Board's medical service since September 1948. In February 1969, she was appointed regional senior Sister in Charge for the South Wales and Bristol Areas overseeing the administration of some ten medical centres.
