Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
One movement cooking-pot crane from Caersws. The crane has a plain turned vertical shaft, and a horizontal arm with a semi-circular brace. The extreme end of horizontal bar has been notched to hold the pot-hook in position. These were common in Wales from the 1600s until the 1950s. They allowed pots to be moved closer or further away from the fire.
