Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
LINEN, embroidered with coloured silks in cross and eyelet stitches. At the top in five rows are the letters of the alphabet, twice in capitals (the letter A being in duplicate) and once in small letters. Beneath is a row of zig-zag ornament followed by the Apostles’ Creed. At the bottom, between narrow stripes, is the inscription: “Sarah Harding her sampler October ye 1 / 1770”.
