Veilleuse, very pale cream-coloured earthenware with a soft greenish tinge to the glaze, comprising a hollow pedestal stand, food bowl and cover, liner and a burner, the stand with moulded foot-rim, cylindrical body, the body with to either side swags of perforations, a shaped opening to one side of the lower body, to either side of the body twin loop handles with foliate moulded thumb-spurs, the food bowl with cylindrical sides and a moulded collar around the centre, twin loop handles to either side of the bowl one of which has broken off, plain beak spout, round domed cover with to the top a nipple-topped disc finial, the liner cylindrical with spreading rim, the burner cylindrical with a small shell-moulded handle to one side; left a pale cream colour and glazed. The rim of the cover broken, a hole to one side of the cover.
