The front and back of this pocket are each made of one piece of plain weave linen. A piece of cotton forms a long band at the top for attaching the tapes and the same cloth is used for patching. There are stains on the back and tapes. This pocket belongs to a group of five pockets from the same donor (59.285.6-9 & 59.245.30). They have several features in common, such as construction methods and some materials, signs of heavy wear and extensive repair often using the same methods.
