The S.S. PENDENNIS was built in 1894 by Gray's of West Hartlepool, for the Pendennis Steamship Co. Ltd. (R.B. Chellew, Truro, Manager). The 2123 gross ton vessel was captured by a U-Boat on 8 July 1916 and was taken to Germany as a war prize. She was restored to the firm after the Armistice and the firm moved from Truro to Cardiff in 1920. Adeiladwyd yr S.S.
