Dish, rectangular, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim curving into curved sides with a flared everted lip; shaped edge with each side consisting of two concave curves, and notched rounded corners; twig handles with raised foliate handles; painted with set pattern 236, - a rectangular panel in the centre of a pale red, iron red, and gilt slender ovoid vase on a shallow plinth, containing red and gilt stylised flowers and foliage, bordered by underglaze blue and gilt lines; wide rich underglaze blue border with four arabesque shaped cartouches of stylised red and gilt flowers on a white ground, between pink and red flower heads amongst gilt scrolls and arabesques; underside painted with three groups of iron red flowers on trailing underglaze blue foliage; gilt handles, and gilt lip.
